How it works

Three steps. No jargon. Real change.

Coaching shouldn't feel like a textbook. Here's how we get you out of the weeds.

Step 01

Book a free call

Twenty honest minutes. We pinpoint the one thing costing you the most time and energy right now.

Step 02

Get your common-sense plan

A clear, practical roadmap you can act on Monday morning — built around your team, not a template.

Step 03

Lead without the bottleneck

We work it together until your team owns the decisions — and your business runs whether you're there or not.

Selected work

Real owners. Real rooms. Real change.

A few of the leaders I've worked alongside — and the shift that mattered most. Names changed; results are theirs.

MANUFACTURING · 80 STAFF
The Delegation Trap

The owner who got his Fridays back

60-hour weeks → 45, in one quarter

He approved every quote and answered every question. We separated decisions from tasks and handed his managers real authority. The plant didn't break — and he took his first two-week vacation in nine years.

CREATIVE AGENCY · 24 STAFF
The Team That Won't Grow Up

A team that finally decides on its own

Owner escalations cut by half

Smart people, zero ownership — every call ran through the founder. We built a simple decision framework and stopped rewarding "just ask me." Six months later, her leads were solving the problems she used to lose sleep over.

FAMILY BUSINESS · 2ND GEN
The Leadership Identity Shift

Ready to sell — or ready to stay

A business that no longer needed him

He'd built the company on being the best technician in the room — and couldn't picture who he was without it. We worked the identity, not just the org chart. He kept the business. The difference is, now he gets to choose.

Ways to work together

Simple options. No long contracts.

Start small or go all in. Every path begins with a free call, so you know it's a fit before you spend a dollar.

Risk-free

The common-sense guarantee

If your first session isn't worth your time, you don't pay for it. No forms, no awkward back-and-forth. I'd rather earn your trust than hold onto your money — that's just how I'd want to be treated.

Before you book

The honest questions owners ask me.

I don't have time for coaching right now.+

That's usually the clearest sign you need it. "No time" is the symptom — being the bottleneck is the cause. Our whole job together is to give you that time back, and we start with the 20% of changes that free up the most hours first.

Is it really worth the cost?+

One bad hire, one key person quitting, or one month of you working 60 hours instead of 45 costs far more than coaching does. We track the time and stress you get back so the ROI is obvious — and if it isn't, the guarantee has you covered.

We've tried consultants before and nothing stuck.+

Most consultants hand you a binder and leave. I don't do binders. We change behavior — yours and your team's — in small, practical steps you actually keep doing after I'm gone. That's the difference between advice and change.

What if my team won't buy in?+

We start with you, not them. When the owner leads differently, the team follows — I've watched it happen across 19 industries. And when it's time to bring the team in, I'll be in the room helping you do it.

About Doug

I've sat in the chair — not just studied it.

My career ran through four worlds: military officer, banker, consultant, and founder of five companies. In every one, I watched good people get handed leadership roles with no map and no support. That's the gap I exist to close.

I'm not the academic kind of coach. My advice comes from having made the hard calls and carried the weight — practical servant leadership that actually drives results, explained in plain language anyone on your team can use Monday morning.

The mission is simple, and I mean it: eliminate the notion of bad bosses. Most of them aren't bad people. They just never had anyone in their corner.
